Welcome to the Field Missionary Retreat 2024.

The Field Missionary Retreat is a special event held every five years, uniting Nigerian missionaries from around the world for a time of retreat, equipping, and fellowship. Hosted by the Nigeria Evangelical Missions Association (NEMA), this retreat is designed to refresh, empower, and connect those on the frontlines of the mission field.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for the Field Missionary Retreat 2024

The Field Missionary Retreat is a once-in-five-years gathering where Nigerian missionaries, both home and abroad, come together to rest, recharge, and receive further equipping for the task.

The retreat will be held at First Baptist Church, Area 11, Abuja, from Tuesday 19th to Thursday 21st November, 2024.

The retreat is open to all Nigerian missionaries, including those from non-NEMA member agencies, whether currently serving in Nigeria or abroad.

The conference is Free, but registration is compulsory for all participants. Freewill donations are encouraged and would be appreciated.

You can sponsor a missionary for as low as ₦20,000, which covers their subsidised accommodation, meals, and conference materials. Donations can be made to the listed accounts:

Yes! We are accepting physical and material gifts for missionaries. These can be sent to NEMA Zonal Offices nationwide, Abuja Liason office or NEMA headquarters in Jos.

Yes! Dormitory accommodations are available, with free slots for the first 500 registrants. Participants signing up for the free dormitory accommodations should kindly come along with bed sheets.
There are also paid guest houses recommended for participants, ranging from ₦5,000 and above per night. There will be transportation from the recommended guest houses to the conference venue.

Yes! The retreat provides a platform for networking with other missionaries, including those working in similar fields or regions.

Yes. The retreat is a great opportunity for those passionate about missions to learn, connect, and explore ways to get involved.

Yes. Interpretation services will be provided for Hausa speakers to ensure that all participants can fully engage with the sessions and discussions.

Yes. There will be an exhibition at the retreat where various mission agencies, ministries, and organizations can showcase their work, resources, and opportunities.

Yes. The deadline for registration is October 19, 2024. Please register early to secure your participation.

In preparation for the retreat, we encourage you to spend time in prayer and reflection. You may also want to review any materials related to your ministry focus, gather personal items you’ll need for the retreat, and connect with fellow missionaries who will be attending. If you’ve requested free dormitory accommodation, remember to bring your own bed sheets. Come prepared to meet with the Lord.
